We pride ourselves on our team of highly motivated employees who have positive attitudes and a commitment to providing the highest level of care.

Our full-time Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Home, and is supported by the Home’s Administrator and the Deputy Manager. Each shift is headed by a senior carer who supervises the work of the care assistants. Senior carers have an NVQ 3 qualification and care assistants are NVQ 2 qualified.

Other support staff in the Home include catering, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance as well as a receptionist and two activities organisers. All staff are selected and checked with great care and are particularly screened for their professionalism, reliability, integrity and friendliness to ensure that they will fit into the James Hirons family and share the Home’s philosophy of care. Routine DBS checks are carried out and registration with the relevant authorities is mandatory. We have a high staff retention rate so our residents benefit from continuity of care from familiar faces.
