We are delighted to keep you updated on activities and events that took place during June.

It has been an exceptionally busy time at James Hirons with the preparation for our Summer Garden Party on 27th June where we welcomed family, friends and the wider community to our lovely home.

Birthday Celebrations

Now you know that we love a birthday celebration at James Hirons and we were delighted to be able to celebrate with one of our lovely residents and her family early on in the month.

Thank you to Noel and Graham for their musical entertainment.

Dominoes

The Dominoes tournament continued throughout June with the trophy changing hands several times.

Fathers Day

We celebrated our wonderful fathers with plenty of chocolate cake, gifts and a lovely afternoon tea.

Football’s coming home

Our residents are definitely loyal supporters, braving the heat and staying up later, it certainly takes it out of you when you are of a certain age !! But very much worth supporting our country.

Kindness in our Community

We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of local businesses and individuals who donated prizes, gifts and plants for our Summer Garden Party.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Samuel James Funeral Director at Heart of England Co-operative Society for their incredibly generous donation!

Our Home Manager, Allan Fairweather, was absolutely delighted to accept £100 worth of luxury Co-op goodies. The amazing treats were put to use in a hamper.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to two of our amazing local businesses, Clarendon Fruit Store and Smiths Nurseries, for their absolutely fabulous donation of plants Garden Party plant stall.

We received so many wonderful prize donations and we would like to thank the following for their support:

A big thankyou to our wonderful staff who are helping to keep our residents cool , from feet in bowls to frozen flannels , ice creams and plenty of water, we do everything we can to keep our residents safe.
