The Residents and staff at James Hirons have had a busy few months and we are delighted to tell you all about it in our latest newsletter.
A great night out at the Spa Centre watching Thank You for the Music- A Modern Tribute to ABBA
We enjoyed everybody’s company for a worthy cause supporting Macmillan. The cakes were being sold fast, coffee was flowing and the chat was engaging. It was so lovely to see residents’ relatives and friends visiting too. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making cakes and organising the event for such a wonderful charity.
A friend of our staff brought their beautiful dog, Emmie the dachshund to visit the residents at the weekend. I think it is fair to say that they fell in love with her. Thank you so much for your time and we look forward to seeing you again soon Emmie.
Congratulations!!
In October, our lovely couple celebrated their 71st anniversary with a trip to Farmers Fayre at Stoneleigh. They thoroughly enjoyed their time out. Happy Anniversary to you both.
Safe to say our resident thoroughly enjoyed her night out with staff. The drifters were amazing and all the ladies thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We won’t say anything about going up and down in the lift and ending up in the basement!!
It may be a little colder, however the garden is looking absolutely beautiful with the autumnal colours, residents still enjoy sitting out in the gardens of James Hirons. Autumn is here… the gardens at James Hirons are stunning with all the reds, oranges and browns and residents still thoroughly enjoying time in the garden.

Residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the festival of lights with each other, we had music dance and plenty of samosas!!
We celebrate every birthday as everyone is special, but we add a little extra magic to a 90th, cakes, friends, music, singing and laughter… we hope you had a fabulous day.
Residents and staff have enjoyed preparing for Halloween this year… huge thanks to Ann for the stairs decorations and to Catherine and Amrit for the pumpkin making and a lovely big thankyou to Christopher for his amazing cupcakes, we are so lucky to have such talented staff.
Remembrance Day
We are forever in dept to all the people who have laid down their lives for us.
Its that time of year again where we receive a visit from Lucia’s farm…. Everybody got stuck in with giving love to these beautiful creatures.
Leamington Christmas Tree Festival – Supporting charities in Warwickshire
Residents have been working so hard to make our Christmas tree special for the parish church… please pop and see our efforts from Sunday tree will be being donated to a worthy cause afterwards. Our tree is available to be viewed along with 59 other beautiful trees xx Communities have worked hard to produce these lovely, themed trees that will be donated afterwards. Please support a local event, go and visit, grab a coffee at the café.
