James Hirons May Newsletter

The residents and staff at James Hirons love to celebrate Easter. Residents enjoyed making Easter Bonnets and eating traditional Easter foods. The Easter bunny hopped through the home delivering eggs to our residents.

Day to Day Activities at James Hirons
At James Hirons, we offer a range of daily activities to keep residents engaged and connected. These include a knitting club, a reading group, and regular games of dominoes, which are always popular. Recently, one of our residents also gave an interesting talk on Henry VIII, which was very well received.

As soon as it is warm enough, we love to head out on to the patio for a drink in the sunshine.
Alpaca Pals visit the home
James Hirons were thrilled to welcome the Alpaca Pals who delighted residents and staff alike. They ate their weight in carrots and even took a ride in the lift to visit residents who couldn’t make it down to see them. The Alpacas coats are beautifully soft and the residents were able to stroke them.

Residents Trip to Smith’s Garden Centre in Baginton

A couple of our residents had a very enjoyable afternoon at Smith’s Garden centre in Baginton. As well as getting inspiration for the James Hirons gardens, they sampled the lovely cakes on offer.

90th Celebrations at James Hirons

We were delighted that our beautiful resident celebrated her 90th birthday at the home with a steak and chips lunch followed by chocolate cake.

We had music from Noel and Graham and a lovely drink with family and friends. What a gorgeous way to spend the day, being spoilt by everyone who loves you xx
